I am Doris and Gerald Girdner's granddaughter. My grandfather pasted away just before their 52 Wedding celebration and Thanksgiving. My grandmother is taking it the best she can. I just needed needed to let any one who loved or knew them, know that they had a wonderful life together and that though we all miss him very much, I know that he is in Heaven smiling down on all those who loved him. I also wanted to say that he had a wonderful life with my grandmother and that my grandmother though see may be down at times, is the bravest person in the world. She is strong and has faith that God will see her through. I don't know if I could be as she is but I aspire to be. Many prayers, love and support go out to any of those who share in our lost.
